Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Redstone Juniper Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Philadelphia. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with field inspections. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Philadelphia. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
