Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Timber Financial serves customers across Miami with accounts, loans and payments, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan applications, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loan applications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
