Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Ironwood Vista Medical Group builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Minneapolis, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with clinical evaluations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
