Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Foxglove Drift Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for branch operations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to branch operations, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around fraud alerts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
