Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Pike Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Fresno producing generic and specialty treatments. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 202 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with clinical studies. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
