Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Amberfield Iron Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 155 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
