Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Field Staffing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for candidate screening, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with candidate screening. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
