Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Cedar Bridge Banking Services is a regional lender in Dallas with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around loan files against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
