Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Rivermark Rook Manufacturing Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
