Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Clearpath Bridge Freight is a Louisville logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Louisville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
