Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Harborlight Hollow Farms Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for grower contracts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 611 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
