Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Highbridge Yarrow Foods Associates is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for customer specifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 136 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer specifications, and clear open items. • Track costs around allergen controls against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Reno. • We reply to every applicant.
