Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Rivermark Timber Medical designs and makes medical devices in Louisville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
