Accountant - audit preparation (remote)

Rivermark Vista Staffing is a Boise staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 622 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around onboarding against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
