Accountant - audit preparation (Raleigh, NC)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Pike Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
