Accountant - audit preparation (Raleigh, NC)

Westbrook Linden Foods is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for sanitation schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to sanitation schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production batches against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
