Accountant - audit preparation (Providence, RI)

Greenridge Linden Health Partners is a healthcare provider in Providence with clinics and support teams, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around patient scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
