Accountant - audit preparation (Portland, OR)

Westbrook Ivory Facilities is a facilities company in Portland with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 54 people based in Portland. What you will do • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleaning schedules, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
