Accountant - audit preparation (Phoenix, AZ)

Rivermark West Care Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for client records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around caregiver training against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
