Accountant - audit preparation (Phoenix, AZ)

Nova Cobalt Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Phoenix. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
