Accountant - audit preparation (Phoenix, AZ)

Harborlight Ashton Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for patient education, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 797 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with patient education. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
