Accountant - audit preparation (Philadelphia, PA)

Harborlight Lakeside Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for customer tickets, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Philadelphia, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
