Accountant - audit preparation (Orlando, FL)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Linden Inspection Services Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to test reports, and clear open items. • Track costs around equipment calibration against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Orlando. • We reply to every applicant.
