Accountant - audit preparation (Omaha, NE)

Greenridge Meadow Medical is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for complaint handling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
