Accountant - audit preparation (Omaha, NE)

Rivermark Mill Banking Services is a community-focused bank in Omaha serving households and small businesses, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to card disputes, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
