Accountant - audit preparation (Omaha, NE)

Redstone Cobalt Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Omaha, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
