Accountant - audit preparation (Omaha, NE)

Bluepeak Willow Medical designs and makes medical devices in Omaha. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
