Accountant - audit preparation (Oklahoma City, OK)

Ironwood Kestrel Staffing Group connects candidates and employers across the Oklahoma City region, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oklahoma City. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to temp assignments, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with temp assignments. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oklahoma City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
