Accountant - audit preparation (Nashville, TN)

Bright River Press Group is a printer and publisher in Nashville serving local and national clients, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
