Accountant - audit preparation (Nashville, TN)

Ironwood Forge Freight Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
