Accountant - audit preparation (Louisville, KY)

Ironwood West Care Services Partners supports families and individuals in Louisville with personal care and coordination, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. We train and promote from within. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
