Accountant - audit preparation (Louisville, KY)

Bluepeak Junction Financial Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for regulatory reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Track costs around account servicing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory reports, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory reports.
