Accountant - audit preparation (Louisville, KY)

Lumen Forge Freight Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 828 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
