Accountant - audit preparation (Little Rock, AR)

Ironwood Corner Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
