Accountant - audit preparation (Little Rock, AR)

Rivermark Nest Housing is a nonprofit housing provider in Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around maintenance stores against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with lease compliance. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Little Rock. • We reply to every applicant.
