Accountant - audit preparation (Little Rock, AR)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Meridian Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 73 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to ingredient orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
