Accountant - audit preparation (Las Vegas, NV)

We are growing our team at Silverline Auto Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 274 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Track costs around customer estimates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
