Accountant - audit preparation (Las Vegas, NV)

Westbrook Rowan Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for account openings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
