Accountant - audit preparation (Las Vegas, NV)

Foxglove Quill Civic Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for case files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 194 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around budget submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to case files, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
