Accountant - audit preparation (Knoxville, TN)

Lumen Pike Auto Group is a Knoxville company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer estimates. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
