Accountant - audit preparation (Jacksonville, FL)

Westbrook Stone Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Jacksonville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with care plans. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
