Accountant - audit preparation (Jacksonville, FL)

Clearpath Cross Hospitality is a hospitality company in Jacksonville with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Track costs around group events against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with reviews and feedback. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
