Accountant - audit preparation (Honolulu, HI)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Junction Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 758 people based in Honolulu. What you will do • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Honolulu. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
