Accountant - audit preparation (Honolulu, HI)

Clearpath Iron Early Learning Partners is an early-learning provider in Honolulu. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to classroom supplies, and clear open items. • Track costs around tuition and subsidies against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
