Accountant - audit preparation (Honolulu, HI)

Northwind Ridge Medical is a Honolulu company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Honolulu. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Honolulu. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
