Accountant - audit preparation (Hartford, CT)

Redstone Sable Pharma supports drug development and manufacturing around Hartford. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 382 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory filings. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
