Accountant - audit preparation (Fresno, CA)

Silverline Maple Manufacturing is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Track costs around tooling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
