Accountant - audit preparation (El Paso, TX)

Bright Cross Hospitality is a hospitality company in El Paso with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring an Accountant to take on audit preparation. You would join a small organisation of about 104 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with group events. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in El Paso, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
