Accountant - audit preparation (El Paso, TX)

Bright Ridge Staffing is a El Paso staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need an Accountant to lead our audit preparation. You would join a large organisation of about 807 people based in El Paso. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to onboarding, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in El Paso. • We reply to every applicant.
