Accountant - audit preparation (Dallas, TX)

Cedar Clear Telecom is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on audit preparation for field visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Track costs around network equipment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Dallas. • We reply to every applicant.
